New Jersey Smart Home Experts Since 1992
Founded by aerospace engineer Keith Harrison on January 2, 1992, Total Home Technologies has grown from a small electronics business into one of the Northeast’s most established residential technology integrators. For more than three decades, the company has designed and supported sophisticated homes throughout New Jersey and New York using technologies from Control4, Lutron, Bowers & Wilkins, Sonos, Sony and other leading residential brands.
THT’s history includes credentials uncommon for a local integrator: three appointment-only Control4-certified showrooms, recognition as ProSource’s Northeast Member/Dealer of the Year in 2021, and a position among the higher-volume Control4 dealers in the Northeast. Keith was also an early advocate for leasing and recurring-revenue service models, creating longer-term relationships between homeowners and the company responsible for keeping their technology working.
We are Total Home Technologies.
OUR SERVICES
Technology for Every Part of Your Home
From the living room to the backyard, we design and install integrated systems that make your home more comfortable, secure and enjoyable — every day.

Smart Home Leasing That Keeps Your Technology Current
Home technology changes quickly, networks get faster, new devices enter the home and the systems controlling lighting, entertainment, security and comfort continue to evolve. Buying everything again every few years can mean spending more money on equipment that has little value once it becomes outdated.
Total Home Access offers another approach. Instead of treating home technology as a one-time purchase, our leasing program helps qualified homeowners keep key systems current while maintaining an ongoing relationship with the team responsible for designing, installing and supporting them.
It is a more thoughtful way to live with technology, less concern about what becomes obsolete and more confidence that your home can continue to evolve with you.

HOW WE WORK
Our Smart Home Design & Installation Process in New Jersey
A sophisticated home should never feel complicated. Our team manages the details from early planning through installation and long-term support, coordinating with homeowners, architects, builders and interior designers when needed.
01 — Understand the Home
We begin with how you live, what you want each space to do and what already exists. Then we identify the systems and priorities that make sense for your home.
02 — Design It as One System
Lighting, shading, networking, entertainment, security and control are planned together so the technology supports the architecture rather than competing with it.
03 — Build, Test & Install
Equipment racks are built and tested in our shop before installation. Our team then installs, programs, commissions and documents every detail along the way.
04 — Teach, Support & Evolve
We show you how everything works, remain available after installation and help the system evolve as your home, technology and priorities change.
