Home Theater Installation Checklist

Make Your Home Theater Cutting Edge and Convenient

Home Theater Installation Checklist

Home theaters are not just for film enthusiasts. Having one in your Monmouth County home can mean that every show, movie, documentary, and sports game you watch has elevated audio and video — home theaters take entertainment to the next level. Even video game and YouTube sessions can feel fun and epic in a home theater.

A home theater is a great hangout spot to enjoy with friends and family. When designing and building a home theater, there are certain features you should consider. Here’s a checklist for your New Jersey home theater installation.

DISPLAY

If you’re going to invest in a home theater, you need to ensure you have a high-quality display. Sony is a brand you can trust and one that makes excellent projectors. Its native 4K projectors offer 8.8 million pixels, giving you incredibly sharp and realistic images. With Sony native 4K projectors, you can watch content with more than four times the Full HD resolution. They also feature Sony’s Reality Creation Technology, which utilizes advanced algorithms to give you the best details without increasing digital picture noise (visual distortion).

SPEAKERS

A significant part of the theater experience is surround sound, and thankfully it’s something you can achieve in your home. You can isolate your theater room from outside noise with special acoustic treatments. To make immersive sound, you can optimize your audio with specific speaker placement. A surround sound system that's traditional includes five speakers: a center speaker, left and right, two rear left and right, and a subwoofer. If you want to go beyond conventional surround sound, you can install the revolutionary Dolby Atmos “3D surround sound” that adds the third dimension of height.

MOTORIZED WINDOW TREATMENTS

If you want to convert your basement or a windowless room to your home theater, you don’t have to worry about light or glare affecting your screen. However, if that’s not possible for your home theater, you’ll want to invest in motorized window treatments. Any light that comes into your home theater can wash out the pictures on your screen, and if there’s glare, that can make images hard to look at (and hurt your vision). Motorized window treatments can offer the darkness you need, and them being motorized means you can easily adjust them with the touch of a button.

SMART HOME AUTOMATION

You might be thinking a home theater is complex to manage, but yours can be convenient and straightforward with smart home automation. You can program your theater to have one-touch control capability — so that you can use your phone or a smart remote to manage everything. Want to lower your projector and turn on your speakers for the movie? You can access all your functions through an app on your smartphone. With smart home automation, you can integrate your home’s other subsystems — like your window treatments, lighting, climate control, and security. Gone are the days where you could only use multiple complicated remotes that take up space and get misplaced!
